


Push down on the plastic gear until the transfer roller is secure in the slot. Wipe the surface of the transfer roller with a dry lint-free cloth.Īlign the transfer roller in the slot.

Lift the transfer roller out of its slot and remove it from the printer. Grasp the black plastic gear with your hands. Lift up on the rod until the gear and the left side of the transfer roller releases from its slot. Lift up the thin metal rod on the transfer roller to the right of the black plastic gear with tweezers or needle-nosed pliers. Lift up on the toner cartridge slightly, and then pull it out of its slot. Pull outward on the top edge of the front cover to open it and access the toner cartridge. Power off the LaserJet 2030 Series printer, and then disconnect its parallel or USB cable from the computer. Reconnect the 1560/1600 Series printer to the computer and power it on again. Reinsert the toner cartridge by sliding it straight down into the slot from which you removed it. After aligning the left side of the transfer roller, push down gently on the plastic gear until it is secure in the slot. Insert the rod into the slot, and then gently lower the left side of the roller into the slot. Wipe the surface of the transfer roller gently, but thoroughly, with a dry lint-free cloth while holding the plastic gear with your fingers.Īlign the metal rod on the right side of the transfer roller with its slot inside the LaserJet printer. Lift the transfer roller out of its slot completely with your hand. Lift up on the left side of the transfer roller with the tweezers or pliers until you can grasp the blue dial with your fingers. Use tweezers or needle-nosed pliers to grip the thin metal rod on the transfer roller just to the right of the blue plastic gear. Grasp the toner cartridge on either side with your hands, and then lift it straight up to remove it from the printer. Open the top cover on the printer to access the toner cartridge.
